In 1999 we planted our 4-hectare vineyard full of enthusiasm and passion. Today we're glad we did plant those vines because it has been a wonderfully rewarding experience. We said at the time that if we failed we could raise our family on red wine and lamb! Well, we didn't fail but we still enjoy our Shiraz with a succulent rack of home grown lamb.
The great pride we have in our vineyard is that we farm both organically and without irrigation. Never since the day the vines were planted have they seen synthetic chemicals, artificial fertilizers or irrigation water. It really is a great way to farm, to know that your vineyard is safe for your children and good for the environment.
In 2002 we built our winery and were approached by other growers in the region to process their grapes also. So the business has grown and we now process grapes from four other New England growers. Sometimes we buy their grapes, other times we process it on their behalf. What has been heartening is that while these other growers aren't organic each of them does have a consciousness about the way they farm; none of them uses artificial fertilizers and all only use chemicals to control pests and diseases as a last resort.

Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday closed except by prior arrangement
